My Second Cuban Crisis
Artist: Rick Raxlen
Date: October 12 to November 19, 1995
Vertical Gallery presented a series of Rick Raxlen's hand-crafted books.
As Raxlen explained: "I have been making books since 1977 sometimes mailing them to friends and attempting to get "subscribers"; sometimes I'd hand-assemble 100 and number them. The book making started when I stopped making film and were fun, or personal narrative pieces. Printed under the acronym F.A.I.M. for Frustrated Artists Illustrated Monthly, they filled up my hands and my head."
