TESTIMONY
Andrew Taggart (Montreal, PQ)

Below is the card left behind by the artist, Andrew Taggart, in each magazine from the Resource Centre ‘subscription wall’ as a small punch, 1cm x 1cm was removed and glued to the head of a nail horizontally lined below the ‘subscription wall’. All thirty-six nails were followed and notated for the viewer, for the opening, so that they could trace the article from which the ‘punch’ had been removed.

After the opening and during the length of the exhibition, the nails have been further numbered and framed.

During the month of July, 2003, I, Andrew Bruce Taggart have made frequent visits to the Resource Centre@Open Space in Victoria, B.C., with the intent to learn, explore and make discoveries in and amongst its literary archives. This card is testimony to the circular punch I have removed from the page of the literature you currently possess; and has been left to trace the thread that weaves its way through my discoveries and explorations.
