Nation to Nation presented Native Love, a group exhibition of collaborative works by contemporary native artists, and writers that explored the theme of love from a First Nations' perspective. Media images of aboriginal people have ranged from the dedicated yet dehumanized warrior to the amourous Pochahontas. Rarely do we see real representations of Native people and their loved ones. Native Love offered a different perspective inspired by a topic that touches on the passionate and passive, the sexual and celibate, the romantic and fraternal, and the humourous.

Nation to Nation is a group of Native artists whose common goals were to be active as artists; to create a forum for dialogue on issues of art, race and culture; and to support and learn from each other.
