Super 8 Film Festival

Artists: Jeff Mawle, Judy Greenhouse, Peter Lipskis, Rick Walker, Fiona McKye and Trudy Forest

Open Space invited artists to submit documentaries, experimental films, dramas and home movies to be screened at a film festival at Open space

Four hours of screening took place at the gallery during May 1 and 2. The three best films were:

Pop Rivet (Susper 8 and tape, 4 min, 1983) by Jeff Mawle and Judy Gunhouse of Victoria. 

Autobahn (Super 8 Sound, 1982) by the Tibetan Doorbell Company, Victoria.

Obsessions (super 8 Sound, 21 min, 1982) by Peter Lipskis and Rick Walker in collaboration with performer Fiona McKye and director Trudy Forest, all from Vancouver.
