A Study in Allomorphism

Artist: Jeremy Gordaneer

Date: November 23 to December 16, 1995

The installation was an attempt to create a union between Euclidean and non-Euclidean geometry. In the Euclidean half of the piece, the actual space (the maquette) and the virtual space (the painted city-space) did not always coincide, and some places were in direct conflict. Whereas in the curved space, the figure s and the ground became one.
