Bounce: Canadian/Dutch Art(ist) Exchange

The exchange has three principal participants: 1) Kunst & Complex in Holland, 2) Saint-Norbert Art and Cultural Centre in Winnipeg and 3) Open Space. After being in Winnipeg for a month, 6 of the 13 Kunst & Complex artists travelled to Open Space. they exhibited their work and the remainder of the artists were presented by videotape which was taken during the construction of their work in Winnipeg. 

The Stitching Kunst & Complex are a group of artists that banded together to help themselves in providing living and art making space. They shared twenty studios in a refurbished corregated cardboard box manufacturing building. 

In deciding how Stritching Kunst & Complex wanted to interact with the art world they decided to abandon the idea of operating an on going art gallery and instead offered four studios and visiting artist residency spaces. 

The intent of Bounce was to foreground art making and the cross cultural interaction of artist with artist.
