Science Stories

Date: January 8 to 24, 1998

An installation of four works that rest between photography and sculpture. Science Stories was comprised of a series of projections built from the illumination of objects integrated with photo-transparencies, focused through glass lenses. Borrowing iconic images from natural and evolutionary history, this work explored ideas surrounding the processes of how we come to know and how that pool of knowledge is fundamental in forming personal identity.

The artist gave lectures to students at the University of Victoria and Camosun College as well as a public lecture at Open Space. 

A series of written works were presented at Open Space to accompany the exhibition. See:
