WALLPAPER
Lucy Pullen (Victoria, BC)
In April of 1998 Lucy Pullen spent time in residence at the Stramur Art Commune outside the town of Hafnarfjorour, Iceland. There she began the preliminary work on the wallpaper installed in the foyer of Open Space, Victoria, British Columbia.
Produced originally for The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, it’s now in its second edition for OPEN SPACE. Presently, rolls of the paper are available at the Open Space Resource Centre for $85 per roll. This multiple will only be available until the rolls are sold: 27 rolls and counting. Future runs of the wallpaper will be available in any colour (48 rolls minimum).
Born in 1971 in Montréal, Quebec, Pullen is currently based in Victoria, British Columbia where she is Assistant Professor, Sculpture at the University of Victoria. Pullen received her Master of Fine Arts from Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Philadelphia and, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design in Halifax. Pullen exhibits and participates in residencies internationally.
