François Lamontagne and François Mathieu have transformed Open Space into a working studio. Both artists are from Quebec City and will be in residence until February 26.
Mathieu and Lamontagne have been invited to Victoria to investigate the theme "the transmission of knowledge". François Lamontagne is working with sound while François Mathieu has focused on the architectural details.
The residency closes with Vertex Jubilee, a public reception with a performance by François Lamontagne on Friday 24 February at 8:00 pm.
Lamontagne and Mathieu are at work during Open Space public hours: Tuesday through Saturday 12:00 to 5:00 pm. They welcome visitors and invite conversation.
