Equipment List
In-house equipment includes:
- Various sculpture stands and display tables
- One 20'x14' black acoustic curtain and two 10'x 14' black acoustic curtains
- complete lighting grid, with 65 X 150 watt lamps
- theatre lighting grid with eleven Lecolites and two fresnels, controlled by a two-scene manual lighting board
- PA system w/ a Crown CE 2000 power amp, 2 Fender PA speakers, and 2 additional speakers.
- three Shure SM-58 and two Shure SM-57 microphones, two Dixon MD1605 mics
- five microphone stands w/ booms or goosenecks
- sixteen microphone cords of varying lengths, multiple patch cords (1/4", XLR, RCA, mini, etc)
- 12-foot retractable projection screen, moveable (requires installation)
- two dual-cassette decks
- three DVD players
- two VHS VCR’s (one continuous play)
- two high quality video/data projector Canon LV-7350 with composite, RGB and SVGA inputs. To be set-up and configured ONLY by Open Space staff.
- 140 chairs
- eight 36”x36” tables
- assorted fold-out tables
- six portable walls (one 8'x8'x2', four 4'x8'x2')
Submissions
Submissions Floor Plans Equipment List
Open Space presents visual art, performance, new music, media arts, literature and contemporary ideas, whatever form they may take. Activities include visual art exhibitions produced in-house or by independent curators, new music concerts, performance based art, readings, screenings and multi-disciplinary events. We accept proposals for projects that explore innovative practices. For exhibitions and performances, Open Space presents work in its main gallery/performance area, the foyer and stairwell area, and we support offsite work, as well. Submissions are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Please browse our archives to learn more about our past programming.
Submission Guidelines

- current curriculum vitae or resume
- slides, CD, DVD or other appropriate documentation [20 images or 5 min of audio or video]
- list of any special equipment required
- self-addressed envelope with return postage [Open Space will not return submission packages lacking sufficient postage]

Open Space pays artist fees for all exhibitions, performances and other presentations. In all cases, these fees are equal to or above the minimum fees as recommended by CARFAC (Canadian Artist's Representation).
